nabu rakbu H-laraak sanu ki !

Communicated on 18 February, 2016 to CJ, this message 
is a piece of information articulated in a language which could be 
understood on the territory of Sumer and later Mesopotamia.

 

What does it mean ?

ENTRÉE

The Sumerian term 𒅴𒀭 Emean decomposed into 'Eme-An' where 𒅴 'Eme' is the equivalent of 'language' and 𒀭'An' is 'sky' or 'heaven' designates Language from Heaven, that is to say 'Sumerian language'.

 

Like the Akkadian or for example Turkish or Basque languages, Sumerian is an agglutinative language meaning that words consist of a chain of distinguishable and separable particles in the form of affixes and/or morphemes. Each one of those particles can contain one or many semantic fields (meanings). The semantic interactions between all the elements of any word and between the words in a sentence are flexible. They are quite often (apparently) contradictory and sometimes (extraordinarily) complementary. What's more, practically each phoneme (specifically each vowel), morpheme or entire term can be reflected by several homophones, f.ex. u, ú, ù, u4 ... u18; each one of them containing one or several autonomous meanings. 

In translations we should take seriously into consideration the larger context in which, submitted to analysis, any written, engraved or printed (if only in someone's memory) message is provided, namely linguistic, technical, social, cultural and if possible psychological implications occurred during its realization, local possible event(s) surrounding the analyzed message as well as geopolitical circumstances in which it appeared. 

Let's close our introduction with the remark that unlike Akkadian, Sumerian is not a Semitic language. In fact, Sumerian does not belong to any linguistic family. However it influenced significantly Akkadian and to a certain considerable extent many languages on Earth. It is possible and legitimate to analyze etymologically Akkadian words and statements using the Sumerian syllabary.

PLAT DE RÉSISTANCE

NABÛ

Nabû is the patron god of scribes, wisdom and literature in Mesopotamia. The Akkadian 'Na' has several meanings such as : 'to', 'for', 'by', 'of' while the Akkadian 'Abu' means 'father'. Nabû is an Akkadian deformation of the previous Sumerian term Nis(sa)-Ab(b)a in which the Sumerian 'nissa' designates 'greens' or 'vegetables' and 'abba' is the equivalent of 'elder'.

Under the Sumerian similar phonetic form Nin-Še-Ba(-Ak), we are given this following precision : divinity/mistress/lady of rations and grain. The Sumerian terms N[is]aba and Ni(n)daba (where 'ninda' and 'ba' are respectively 'food' and 'to give') refer in fact to a very same entity. In the Akkadian patriarchal civilization there was a shift in several sex designations. That is why Nisaba named also Nidaba is originally in the territory of Kalam (called later Sumer and later Masopotamia) not a male divinity, but a female one. She is also called Ezinu (CBS 14005) which means 'the one (female) who opens understanding'.

In the Sumerian terminology, 'Na' equals 'human being' and also 'humankind'. 'Nab' designates 'ocean' and 'god' or 'divinity'. 'A' is 'water'. 'Ab' equals 'father' and its homophone 'Áb' means 'cow' or 'goddess Mother'. 'Aba' is 'sea'. 'Ba' means 'share', 'rations', 'to distribute' and designates also 'reed', that is to say a scraping tool used in writing on clay tablets. 'Bu' means 'faraway'. 'Bu4' is 'brightness' and 'light', while 'Bu6' is the verb 'to gather'.
The Sumerian 'Ú' means 'food', 'to support', 'strong', 'powerful (about a human)'. 
'Ù' is a polite imperative (f.ex. please do), also 'if', 'after' and in some contexts 'fight'. 'U5' means 'totality', 'to be on top of', 'to steer', 'to conduct'.

Finally Nabû - through the probable unconfirmed intermediate form Na(m)bu - goes back to Nammu (later Isis) who is the genetic mother of Sa'am-EnKi-Ašár, three names for a one same male entity acting first mostly in Kalam (=Sumer) and later for a long period of time almost exclusively in Kemet (=Egypt). The name Ašár was grecianized into Ὄσιρις=Osiris. The Sumerian vocable 'Nám' means 'planning ability', also 'noble'. 'Mu' means 'word', 'to speak'. Its homophone' 'Mu5' means 'in perfect shape', 'beautiful', while the homophone 'Mu10' means 'female', 'woman'. 'Mu[d]' is the equivalent of 'to give birth', 'Mú[d] means 'blood', in certain contexts 'clay' and sometimes 'to make grow'. In fact Nisaba/Nammu is a planner ... Let's add that she is also a goddess of numbers, lady of stars (astronomer) and a great female scribe (!) endowed with the prestigious task to civilize the world.

RAKBU

Since the consonants G and K are sometimes interchangeable, 'Ra2-[g]a-ba/u' can refer to the Sumerian 'Rakbu' meaning 'rider' and/or 'messenger'. The Akkadian 'Rakbu' means 'courier' or 'messenger', while 'Ra[k/h/b]bu' under its subsequent form 'Rabbu' designates in this language the adjectives 'supreme' and 'important'. 'Bur' or 'Bú[r]' means 'to open', 'release', 'spread out'.

'H' could be followed by the possibly missing 'á' = H(á) = 'many', 'numerous' or by 'é' = H(é) = 'big', 'large', 'abundant'. It could also be followed by 'i'= H(i) = 'to mix'. However, in our context I rather opt for H(ú), a term which means 'initiation/penetration', 'knowledge' and 'transformation', especially since we find this term in 'Ğiš-Hú' designating 'The Tree (or Tool) of Penetration and/or Knowledge' (Stele of the Vultures V, 18 / VI 16). 'Ğiš-Hú' could be identified with the ancient city أوما Umma (today Tell Djokha) where EnKi (protector of humanity) could have originally at least an important moral function. Umma was in a long conflict with the city لجش Lagaš (today Tell al-Hiba) where originally EnLíl (oppressor of humanity) could have an important administrative influence and/or function.

LARAAK

'Laraak' can be decomposed into 'Lara-Ak' if we accept the Sumerian 'Ak' as a genitive case. 'Laraak' means simply 'of Lara'. 'Lara' could be the ancient city Lar(s)a(g/k), today under the Arabic denomination تل سنكرة Tell Sankara/Tell Senkerah in which تل 'tel' pronounced 'tal' means 'hill'. This city is sometimes identified to Ellasar under its biblical Hebrew spelling אֶלָּסָ֑ר. Here, the אֶ is in fact the first letter of the alphabet, namely A and subsequently this word can give El(l)-Asar in which the אֶלָּ pronounced 'al' means 'high' and/or 'noble'. In any event, Larsa is possibly Larak = Lara[g]. The patron of this city is Utu, a male divinity identified with Sun. It would not be out of place to remember that Sun is one of the attributes of Osiris ...

In the Sumerian terminology, 'La' equals 'abundance' and 'freshness in beauty'. 'Lál' [the second l instead of r] means 'to be high'. 'Lá' means 'to penetrate', 'to provide' (seems to be the most accurate in our context), 'to know'. 'Ar' is 'to enlighten', 'to instruct'. 'Arah4' is 'storehouse', 'Ára' means 'glory' and 'Ara4' is the equivalent of the terms 'shine', 'blaze' and 'bright'.

SANU

The Sumerian 'Sa' or 'Ša' means 'favor', 'to satisfy', 'to be friendly', 'fruitful'. The equivalents of 'Šà' are 'volition', 'meaning', significance'. 'Sa12' means 'head' or 'leader'. 'Sá' means 'to equal'; 'gift'; 'advice' or also 'human', 'individual'. 'Nu' designates 'image', 'likeness' ; 'without' (negation), while 'Nu11' means 'light' and 'fire'.

KI

The Sumerian Ki designates 'planet Earth', 'land' and can refer to the present terrestrial physical world precisely like in Ki-Gal where 'Gal' means 'great', in comparison to Kur-Gal designating a denser and more opaque in light-frequency simultaneous world or An-Gal which is a lighter and more transparent simultaneous world if related to Kur-Gal and our Ki-Gal.

The exclamation mark '!' can refer to the entire message suggesting that this information is important or/and (specifically) to the last term Ki which in such a case seems to indicate Earth as a planet.

Here are three variations in my translation of
"nabu rakbu H-laraak sanu ki" : 

 

1)

To support Humankind, a (highest in rank) messenger provides 

the exhaustive [or necessary? instead of 'abundant', 'enlightening'] information

 as an [equal/friendly] advice [for] this present time on Earth.

 

2)

To support glorious (or divine) Humans, a (highest in rank) messenger 

provides the repository [instead of 'storehouse'] of unparalleled 

(or 'having no equal') knowledge [for] this present time on Earth.

 

3)

To conduct (or breed [by a prophet?/prophetess?/male or female soothsayer? 
or rather some planners' organ?]) 
divine [because created by divinities] Humans, 

a (highest in authority) messenger extends peacefully [or 'penetrates with'] 

the enlightening instructions [instead of 'knowledge'] (for) leaders (or guides) 

[in] this present time on Earth.

Other variations are possible.

DIGESTIF

It seems to be clear from our linguistic analysis of this message that its authors have a substantial knowledge about our terrestrial cultural heritage regarding specifically at least the history of Kalam (called also Edin), Sumer and Mesopotamia.

 

I don't know if this is an honest, friendly piece of communicated information provided through CJ. The two first variations in my translation are, sure, not equal. However they both are tuned with our current human collective mentality. The third version shows a subtle shift to another octave of the perception of reality and seems to be relevant to mentality in a different space-time. In Kalam, a considerable number of "civilizers" who spoke the Eme-An language did not like humanity considering humans as Á-Dam (Min), which is a Sumerian term meaning '[enslaved] Herds' or 'Animals' '(Two)'. Some of those lords (self-proclaimed Diğir which means "gods/divinities") were clever manipulators. Their daily life was not necessarily easy, since they quarreled and fought between themselves.

Amongst all those civilizers, there were groups (or a group) of open minded individuals endowed with the uplifting feelings of personal responsibility, compassion and enlightenment. Some of them in situ protected and instructed us - the human species on Earth.

Whatever we may think in this entire context, the fact is that the Sumerian language is alive.
