HARM KUIJERS
is één van de grootste kunstenaars die Nederland ooit heeft gekend.
Het is paradoxaal dat een dergelijk verschijnsel nog altijd niet duidelijk gemaakt is in de ogen van zijn Nederlandse landgenoten die naar de referentiepunten blindelings ergen anders zoeken.
Moet het een andere kunstenaar zijn om deze vanzelfsprekendheid luid en duidelijk te verkondigen ? Is het noodzakelijk om een dag Frankrijk te verlaten om vast te stellen dat Parijs niet is meer wat Parijs ooit was ? En dit allemaal om te ontdekken dat ergens in het noorden dat veel verder ligt dan het Franse Nord-Pas-de-Calais departement, er één genie is wiens kunst getuigt van een kosmische kracht die in staat is de vitale menselijke Essentie te versterken en tegelijk al onze ruimte-tijd verwijzingen uit te dagen ?
Alle mogelijke sorten van wrok, jaloezie en complex geven geen blijk van intelligentie. Iederen lijkt het te begrijpen, zelfs een aantal vrienden, journalisten en kunstcritici hier- en daarvandaan, maar zij allemaal blijven op een beroerde manier afwezig en stil.
Dus misschien durft op een dag, een eerlijk, moedig en pretentieloos mens een commentaar, een zin, een gevoel, een bedenking, een luchtje, een onbelangrijkheid, een aanmoediging
te schrijven ?
Ondertussen werkt Harm Kuijers in Rotterdam, maar wordt geïnspireerd in het buitenland en blijft, tot mijn grote vreugde, groeien door middel van zijn kunstwerken die voortdurend iederen voeden die weet wat de Betovering is.

is one of the greatest artists that the Netherlands have ever seen.
It is paradoxical that such a phenomenon is still not evident in the eyes of his fellow Dutch citizens who blindly elsewhere look after benchmarks.
Must another artist proclaim this obviousness ? Must we one day leave France with the purpose to state that Paris is no longer what Paris was longtime ago ? All of that in order to discover that somewhere in the north which is confined farther than the French Nord-Pas-de-Calais department, there is a genius whose artwork reflects a cosmic force able to invigorate the human vital Essence and at the same time defies all our space-time references ?
All shades of grudge, jealousy and complex have nothing to do with intelligence. Everybody seems to understand it, even some friends as well as many journalists and art critics from here and there.
The fact is that all of them are pathetically silent and absent.
Therefore one day, perhaps someone honest, courageous and unassuming will dare write a comment, a sentence, a feeling, a thought, a scent, an insignificance, an encouragement ?
Meantime, Harm Kuijers works in Rotterdam, but is drawn by inspiration abroad and, what makes me really happy, continues to grow up through his works of art which always nourish all those who know what Enchantment is.

est un des plus grands artistes que les Pays-Bas aient jamais eu.
Le paradoxe veut qu'un tel phénomène ne soit toujours pas rendu évident aux yeux de ses compatriotes hollandais qui cherchent aveuglément à trouver des points de repère ailleurs.
Faut-il qu'un autre artiste proclame cette évidence ? Faut-il un jour quitter une France pour constater que Paris n'est plus ce que Paris avait jadis été ? Et cela pour découvrir que quelque part dans un nord situé plus loin que le Nord-Pas-de-Calais il existe un génie dont l'art témoigne d'une force cosmique capable de tonifier l'Essence vitale humaine tout en défiant nos références spatio-temporelles ?
Rancunes, jalousies et complexes ne font pas preuve d'intelligence. Tout le monde semble l'avoir compris, mêmes certains amis au même titre que des journalistes et des critiques d'art d'ici et d'ailleurs pathétiquement absents et muets.
Alors peut-être qu'un jour quelqu'un d'honnête, de courageux et sans prétention osera écrire un commentaire, une phrase, un sentiment, une réflexion, un parfum, une insignifiance, un encouragement ?
Entre-temps, Harm Kuijers travaille à Rotterdam mais s'inspire ailleurs et, à ma plus grande joie, continue de grandir au travers de ses œuvres qui ne cessent de nourrir tous ceux qui savent ce qu'est l'Enchantement.
